Edge banding machine
Closes a cut edge properly, in one pass, while the panel is still square.
What it holds
- Glue, trim, flush and buff in one pass
- Banding matched to the board decor
- 0.4mm to 2mm tape
- Runs straight off the saw
What it does
Applies banding hot, then trims, flushes and buffs it in the same pass. The result is an edge with no glue line you can catch a fingernail on, which is the difference between a factory edge and one done by hand with a household iron.
A raw board edge takes on moisture and swells. On chipboard in a kitchen that is the failure everybody has seen, and banding is the whole of the fix.
Because it runs immediately after the saw, panels leave finished rather than coming back for a second visit.
