A wrapped door has no edge band, because the foil goes over the face and around all four edges in one piece. There is no seam at the corner to lift, which is the usual first sign of age on a painted or banded front.
It suits shaker and routed fronts especially, where the foil pulls down into the detail under vacuum and follows the profile exactly.
Bring a sample of what you are matching. Foil decors are close but rarely identical between suppliers, and it is easier to settle that on the counter than after forty doors are wrapped.
